Charlottesville’s Downtown MallCondition Survey and Repair Estimated Completed within Uncompromising ScheduleThe City required a detailed condition survey and repair cost estimate for their 10 block pedestrian mall. The project had to be completed within a 5-week schedule to meet the City’s planning needs. Obsidian’s Principal’s developed the condition survey protocols which included both invasive and non-destructive surveys, managed the project and developed an interactive ADOBE© pdf format presented on an interactive CD-ROM for the final report. The final submittal included a detailed engineering assessment of the brick paving system condition as well as a detailed repair estimate for three alternative repair scenarios. This type of success demonstrates our ability to present complex engineering data in a user friendly format and meet demanding schedules. |
